Before my midnight trip to Iran and Israel, we were told Israel is God's own land, a truly blessed land, full of opportunities and abundant blessings. We were made to believe also, its citizens are enjoying the best amenities in the world, backed by the most competent and forward-looking leaders. Their security architecture was equally the best, just behind its sister USA, they said.
In terms of governance, we were also meant to believe Netanyahu is not at par with any prime minister in terms of his commitment, steadfastness, and service. Simply put, he is the best prime minister Israel has had for over a decade. The story completely changed recently after my midnight sojourn to Israel. I travelled through space, the midnight space to explore the four walls of Israel.
Throughout my journey, I was determined to fact-check the never-ending superiority stories paraded about Israel. I was ready to explore the promised land, the prosperous Israel and the bountiful home of Jews.
At first, I was excited to be in the land of Prophet Moses, but then, I recalled the unflinching debate he had with them at the gate. That alone drained my excitement.
The sight of Haifa and Tel Aviv reminds me of the forceful imposition of Israel in Palestine, the subsequent Indiscriminate killing of Palestinians, and the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. I was still motivated to move further, explore further and learn about the jews. The motivation declined further when I came across an Israeli preemptive attack on Iran. At that moment I halted the journey, requested a refund, and left.
A short stint in Iran
My short stay in Iran was full of surprises and excellent memories. I came across leaders, dined with scholars, and discussed with renowned scientists. I was awed by the discipline of its citizens, their good attitude to work, resilience, and sacrifice to the Deen.
I fell in love with the Persians after I visibly saw their unflinching commitment to fighting falsehood, spreading goodwill, and spearheading the war against imperialism and the hybrid colonialism of the West. I was emotional to learn about the state of their economy as a result of US economic sanctions. However, when I heard of their unapologetic involvement and unrelenting contributions to the resistance axis, I cheered them on, praised them, and applauded them for their human actions and aid to Palestinians.
A stern response and Overrated Israel
Iran's response to Israel's preemptive attack on its nuclear facilities was not only condemned by all, but it was also described as a direct threat to Iran's sovereignty, national security, and right to self-defence.
As they did to us over the years, the Israeli government succeeded in brainwashing the world about its superiority, military might, and sophisticated machinery. The notion that Israel could not be attacked was completely shattered in the recent events. Iran has shown the world that Israel's border is porous and visibly prone to the slightest attack. The purported military might was degraded by Hezbollah in the recent exchange in Lebanon and Palestine.
Thus, the notion that Israel could not be attacked because its Iron Dome is no longer tenable and is dead on arrival. After all, it's now obvious that Israel is just a regular, or ordinary, developed nation.
Our final prayer...
Adolf Hitler was quoted to have remarked War is like a dark room, one doesn't know what is inside a pregnant woman, no one knows what will be born until it is due. It is our fervent prayer that the will of the Almighty should prevail. May the oppressed nations triumph over their oppressors.
