The Gombe Unity and Development Mandate Forum (GUDMF) has applauded the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) for constructing three mega schools across the three senatorial districts of Gombe State.
The schools, located in Dadin Kowa, Dukku, and Kaltungo towns, were established to accommodate a large number of pupils and address the challenge of out-of-school children in the state.
In a statement titled "Gombe Unity and Development Mandate Forum Proud of NEDC’s Successes in Gombe," signed by its National Chairman, Engineer Aliyu Musa Aliyu on Tueday, the forum commended the commission for its commitment to enhancing human capital development in the state.
Engineer Aliyu praised the Managing Director of the NEDC, Mr. Mohammed Goni Alkali, stating that his efforts have endeared him to the people of Gombe.
"He has done so much for Gombe that we now consider him one of our own
"The people have nothing but love and appreciation for his continuous support, especially for this giant stride that aims to return out-of-school children to classrooms," Aliyu said.
The group also commended the quality of infrastructure and modern learning equipment provided in the schools, assuring that residents across the three senatorial zones would put the facilities to good use.
