Governor Umar A. Namadi has approved the appointment of Muhammad Faiz as the pioneer Commander General of the newly established Jigawa State Hisbah Board, in a move aimed at strengthening the board's operations and effectiveness.
The Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, confirmed the appointments in a statement on Monday. The newly appointed officers are as follows:
1. Dr. Husaini Yusuf Baban – Deputy Commander General
2. Lawan Danbala – Assistant Commander General, Headquarters
3. Yunusa Idris Barau – Assistant Commander General, Dutse Zone
4. Abdulkadir Zakar – Assistant Commander General, Hadejia Zone
5. Suraja Adamu – Assistant Commander General, Gumel Zone
6. Bello Musa Gada – Assistant Commander General, Kazaure Zone
7. Barrister Mustapha Habu – Secretary/Legal Adviser
Malam Bala Ibrahim noted that the appointments were made based on merit, competence, and personal integrity. He called on the appointees to live up to the high expectations of their new roles.
The appointees have received their letters of appointment and are expected to assume duties immediately.
In his response, Muhammad Faiz expressed appreciation to Governor Namadi for the trust reposed in them and pledged to serve with dedication and diligence.
All appointments take immediate effect.
