The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, has dismissed rumours that the party is losing members to opposition parties in the state.
In a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, Kana-Zuru said the APC in Kebbi “is intact and strong, with loyal and dedicated members.”
He maintained that, contrary to speculation, the party is not losing members but is, in fact, welcoming new entrants from various opposition parties on a regular basis. “We are growing stronger and stronger in the state and at the national level. In sha Allah, Kebbi State APC will continue to support the masses through different empowerment programmes,” he said.
Kana-Zuru pointed to interventions by the present administration in infrastructure, education, health, human capital development, youth and women empowerment, and agriculture, saying the state has been transformed across key sectors.
He urged residents to disregard the rumours, describing them as false and baseless.
