Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice Mohammed Adoke has launched his highly anticipated memoir, ‘OPL 245: The Inside Story of the $1.3 Billion Nigerian Oil Block’, on Thursday.
The event, held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, drew a significant gathering of prominent political figures, underscoring the enduring interest in the controversial OPL 245 transaction.
The book presentation was a convergence of influential personalities from across Nigeria’s political landscape.
Vice President Kashim Shettima led the impressive list of attendees.
He was joined by former Kano Governor and 2023 NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
Former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim and Bukola Saraki, Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and Hadiza Bala Usman, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Coordination, were also present at the event.
Other notable figures in attendance included former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto South). Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo was represented by his deputy, Joel Oyibo-Salifu.
