Renowned trekker Abubakar Umar, popularly known as Duduwale, has announced plans to walk over 800 kilometers to the hometown of famous musician Dauda Kahutu Rarara, in recognition of the singer’s contributions to his community.

Speaking at a press conference in Yola, Duduwale described Rarara as a role model and an inspiration for the younger generation.

“Rarara sends a trailer-load of food to Kahutu town every month, he has employed 400 youths, built two roads for the community, and carried out several other developmental projects,” Duduwale stated. “I want to show the world what he has done and present him as an example for youths and the wider society.”

Duduwale explained that his trek is aimed at promoting peace, security, and social harmony, adding that his journey from Yola to Kahutu will also serve to raise awareness about Rarara’s philanthropic work.

He further called on political and community leaders to be more dedicated to improving youth welfare and community development.

Abubakar Umar Duduwale is widely known for his long-distance treks across Nigeria and once attempted to march to England in 2015. His previous treks have focused on raising awareness about terrorism, banditry, corruption, drug abuse, and social unity.
