A staunch loyalist of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Khamis Musa Darazo, has strongly criticised the leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing them of deceiving Nigerians by pretending to be champions of the poor.

Speaking to journalists yesterday, Darazo dismissed recent claims by ADC leaders and other opposition figures forming a coalition "To rescue the masses" as hypocritical and politically motivated.

After assessing the efforts of prominent political figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Nasir El-Rufai, Darazo stated that none of them had done enough to surpass President Tinubu's commitment to education and poverty eradication.

He cited the Rochas Foundation as an example of true compassion, where thousands of underprivileged children across Nigeria receive free education. He challenged the ADC and its allies to present a single example of similar impact from their constituencies.

"They claimed they were forming a coalition to defend the poor. I'm offering ₦100,000 to anyone who can show me a single picture of a school built in their constituency by El-Rufai, Amaechi, Peter Obi, or Rauf Aregbesola, where poor people receive free education, similar to what Rochas achieved across Nigeria," Khamis Musa Darazo.

He questioned the sincerity of the coalition, accusing some members, particularly Nasir El-Rufai of turning against Tinubu only because of political fallout, not genuine concern for Nigerians.

"If El-Rufai didn’t fall out with Tinubu, would he be in this so-called coalition? Nigerians need to wake up and ask tough questions," he added.

Darazo concluded by urging Nigerians to support President Tinubu and give him time to continue what he described as "The good work already in progress."
