The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has announced the appointment of Zaharaddeen H. Kofar Mata, Esq., as its Acting Executive Chairman.
This was disclosed in an internal circular signed by the Commission’s Chief Security Officer, L. Dauda, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
The appointment, according to the circular, takes immediate effect and is pending further directives from the Executive Governor of Kano State.
The Commission described the move as part of efforts to ensure sustainability in service delivery and effective leadership within the organization.
“All Directors, Heads of Units, and Staff are hereby requested to extend their maximum cooperation and support to the Acting Executive Chairman in the discharge of his duties,” the statement read.
Management also expressed appreciation for the staff’s continued commitment to the Commission’s mandate of promoting accountability and integrity in public service.
The new acting chairman is expected to steer the Commission pending any further official pronouncements by the state government.
