The Joint Farmers Community Initiative of Nigeria (JFCIN) has announced the appointment of Ambassador (Dr.) Nura Hashimu, popularly known as Tallafin Bosso Karami, as the new National Vice President of the association.

The appointment was officially conferred during the National Season Planting Flag-Off and Tractors Commissioning Ceremony held on Wednesday in Oyo Town, Oyo State.

According to a press release signed by Comrade Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi, the National Public Relations Officer of JFCIN, the appointment letter was presented on behalf of the Grand Patron of the association, His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abdulakeem Abimbola (Owoade I), the Alaafin of Oyo. Representing the Alaafin at the event was His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Ahmadu Haruna Maiyasin II, CON, JP, GFNY, the Sarkin Sasa, Sardaunan Yamma, and Chairman of the Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers and Chiefs in the 17 Southern States of Nigeria.

In his address at the event, the National President of JFCIN, Comrade Adekunle Adebayo, outlined the association’s strategic agricultural development plans. He revealed that the association has commenced the cultivation of 100 hectares of sesame in Niger State during the current wet season and is also set to embark on the cultivation of 5,000 hectares of maize, rice, soybeans, and cotton in the 2026 wet season. He also announced the distribution of 100 tractors to farmers’ clusters on a loan basis, and disclosed plans to expand the association’s Agric Microfinance Bank to Niger, Delta, Gombe, and Kano States by 2026, in order to provide stronger financial support for farmers across the country.

In a related development, Malam Sani Muhammad Danladi has been officially confirmed as the new JFCIN Chairman for Niger State. The association used the occasion to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to supporting Nigerian farmers through mechanisation, financial empowerment, and large-scale crop production.

JFCIN noted that the newly appointed Vice President, Amb. Dr. Nura Hashimu will play a crucial role in advancing the association’s national agenda and bringing its vision for sustainable agricultural development to fruition.
