Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has decorated 13 newly promoted police officers serving at the Government House, urging them to redouble their commitment to duty and uphold the highest standards of service.
The brief decoration ceremony took place shortly after the State Executive Council meeting at the Council Chamber, Government House, Minna.
In his remarks, Governor Bago congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, attributing the advancement to their dedication, discipline, and hard work in the line of duty.
“Promotion comes with greater responsibility,” he reminded them. “You must continue to demonstrate professionalism and loyalty in safeguarding lives and property.”
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting all security agencies in the state to ensure effective and responsive policing.
The decoration was carried out in collaboration with the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, who was also present at the ceremony.
Deputy Governor Comrade Yakubu Garba and other members of the State Executive Council witnessed the event.
The promoted officers include:

From Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II): Umar Bala, Andrew Ayuba, and Shaba Mohammed.

From Sergeant to Inspector: Nenpin Gowong, Kurumji Dakum, Bashir Hassan, Timothy Ikume, Michael Nandum, Nankpak Dafam, Veronica Julius, and Etsu Ibrahim.

From Corporal to Sergeant: Ibrahim Mohammed and Usman Alhassan.
