Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Niger South Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term in office.

The endorsement was made in Bida during a special interactive session the governor held with stakeholders from each of the federal constituencies in the district.

Federal and state legislators, zonal and local government party officials, and other stalwarts—speaking on behalf of their respective constituencies—praised the governor’s achievements, describing them as unmatched. They noted that granting him another four years would allow him to consolidate on the remarkable projects already underway and realise the “New Niger” vision for the benefit of all citizens.

In his remarks, Governor Bago expressed gratitude to the Niger South APC stakeholders for the endorsement, describing it as an honour. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy, particularly through the Ward Development Project—an initiative aimed at accelerating grassroots development.

The governor also urged all APC members in the Niger South Senatorial District to remain united and work diligently to ensure the party’s victory in the forthcoming local government elections.

The Niger South Senatorial District comprises the Bida/Gbako/Katcha, Agaie/Lapai, and Lavun/Mokwa/Edati federal constituencies.
