The former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has formally declared his intention to contest for a Senate seat, stating that his decision is driven by a sense of purpose and service rather than personal ambition.
Speaking during the declaration, he disclosed that he had initially considered running for governor. However, after extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including the Etsu Nupe, he decided to pursue a senatorial bid in the interest of unity and collective progress.
Outlining his campaign priorities, the former FIRS boss said he will focus on quality education, youth empowerment, rural development, healthcare, and economic growth. He emphasized that Niger South deserves effective representation anchored on accountability and tangible results, not rhetoric.
“With my experience as FIRS Chairman, I have demonstrated what accountable and results-driven service looks like. This campaign is about you, your future, and your dignity. The time is now to move Niger South forward—together,” he said.
