The Northern Voice for Justice (Muryar Adalci ta Arewa – MUA) has called for the immediate prosecution of Malam Lawal Triumph over alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (SAW), stressing that the matter should not be treated lightly.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Abubakar Muhammad, in Kano on Monday, the group urged the Kano State Governor to act impartially and ensure appropriate punishment is delivered.

“The matter of the Prophet (SAW) is not one to take lightly. We urge authorities to stop delaying and take swift action,” the statement said.

The group warned that any delay or leniency could trigger public unrest, emphasising that protecting the Prophet’s honour is a collective duty.
