The site supervisor of the ongoing Warji General Hospital project, Mr. Balami Samson, has assured that the new 150-bed facility will be completed within one month.
Samson disclosed this on Thursday during an inspection tour by journalists to projects executed under the administration of Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed. He noted that construction of the hospital has reached 80 percent completion.
"All modern equipment is being used in the construction, and once completed, the hospital will go a long way in addressing the health challenges of the people of Warji Local Government Area," he said.
Speaking during the tour, the Chairman of Warji Local Government Area, Hon. Aminu Barmini, commended Governor Mohammed for initiating what he described as life-changing projects in the area.
According to Barmini, the administration has awarded several key projects, including the construction of the 19km Warji–Gwaram road, the District Head of Warji’s palace, the Burarana–Dabo road, erosion control works, a new hospital in Miya, the construction of the Dabo Village Head’s palace, and several Juma’at mosques.
He added that the people of Warji remain grateful for the governor’s interventions, which he said have impacted critical sectors of the community.
During the inspection of the newly completed 5km Burarana–Dabo road, residents also expressed appreciation.
One resident, Zubairu Muhammad of Dabo Ward, said the road has transformed their daily lives.
"We honestly have nothing to say to the governor except gratitude. It used to take us three hours to pass this road, but now we cover it in just a few minutes. The governor has built us a road with a big erosion control culvert. Thank you very much," he said.
The Bauchi State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, explained that the tour was organised to enable journalists to monitor and assess projects awarded by the Bala Mohammed administration.
