The attention of the Kautal Pulaaku Fulbe Association of Nigeria has been drawn to a misleading report alleging that the former Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore chairmen of Bauchi, Taraba, and Adamawa States were dismissed by the national president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.
In a press statement signed by the National PRO, Haruna Idris Bayero, the association described the publication as malicious and aimed at tarnishing the image of the affected chairmen, who had long resigned voluntarily. Their resignation letters, the statement added, were publicly shared on the official social media platforms of the Kautal Pulaaku Fulbe Association of Nigeria.
According to the statement, the three former chairmen, who joined Kautal Pulaaku Fulbe immediately after their resignation, are now focused on new initiatives under the association aimed at improving the economic, social, political, and security well-being of less privileged and vulnerable Fulbe communities across the country.
The association emphasised that it is not in competition with any other group, but rather seeks to build collaborative relationships with sister Fulbe and non-Fulbe organisations to enhance the living standards of pastoralists nationwide.
However, the association warned that it would not tolerate any form of witch-hunt, victimisation, threats, or attacks against its members or its institutional integrity.
The statement advised the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore to concentrate on its internal programs rather than engaging in unnecessary disputes with peace-loving and progressive Fulbe associations, noting that such actions could harm the group’s public image.
Kautal Pulaaku Fulbe Association of Nigeria also urged all its members to remain focused and united, and not to be distracted by individuals or groups intent on tarnishing the reputation of its leadership.
