The Northwest Development Assembly, a forum created by Legislative Aides of the 10th National Assembly, has nominated the Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Engr. Bashir Aminu Yero FNSE, as Patron of the organisation.
The nomination was disclosed in a statement issued by Nuhu Basheer Masa, Regional Media and Publicity Officer of the Assembly. It added that the decision was also communicated in a letter signed by the Forum’s Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim Masa’ud, dated Wednesday, November 26, 2025. According to the letter, Aminu was chosen “in recognition of your track record on humanitarian services and immense contribution towards the development of the Northwest region.”
Engr. Aminu Yero, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), is widely regarded for his contributions to engineering and public service. Before his elevation to the position of Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, he served as Secretary of the Directorate of Estate, Works and ICT, where he earned several accolades, including an Excellent Award from the NSE Maitama Branch for leadership in improving engineering practices.
While congratulating him on the nomination, the leadership of the Assembly urged him to carry out the responsibility with dedication, honesty and a strong sense of service. They expressed confidence that he would uphold the vision and mission of the Assembly in advancing development across the Northwest region.
