The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Zamfara State Chapter, has applauded Governor Dauda Lawal for commencing the payment of allowances to newly admitted Zamfara clinical veterinary students.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Dr. Kaka’u Dalla Dalla, the association described the governor’s action as timely and a clear demonstration of his commitment to educational development and human capital growth in the state. It said the support would ease the financial burden on the students and motivate them to excel in their clinical training.
The NVMA noted that the initiative also signals the administration’s dedication to strengthening veterinary public health, food safety, and animal welfare — sectors it said are critical to the wellbeing and economic stability of the state.
While expressing appreciation to the government, the association pledged its readiness to continue partnering with the state in advancing quality animal health services and enhancing livelihoods across communities in Zamfara.
NVMA further urged the beneficiaries to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies as they prepare for professional service to the state and the country.
