The Impact Multipurpose Cooperative Society (IMCOOPS), in partnership with El-Sufyan Global Services Nigeria Limited and Tranquil Way Limited, has strengthened access to finance for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with the implementation of its Micro & Small Credit Programme (IM-SCReP).
The programme was held on Thursday, 15 January 2026, at the Sheikh Ɗahiru Usman Bauchi Hall, Tudun Wada, Kaduna, and drew cooperative members, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders focused on promoting sustainable enterprise development through cooperative-driven financial solutions.
With the theme “Expanding Access to Finance for MSMEs: Cooperative-Led Pathways for Inclusive Economic Growth,” the event highlighted the growing role of cooperatives in addressing financing gaps faced by small businesses across Nigeria.
Speaking at the programme, the President of IMCOOPS, Hajiya Maryam Ibrahim, urged beneficiaries to apply the knowledge gained responsibly and to comply strictly with cooperative rules and regulations. She stressed that discipline, accountability and prudent use of funds were essential to sustaining access to credit and achieving long-term business growth.
She noted that adherence to cooperative principles remains a key requirement for entrepreneurs seeking to expand their enterprises through the scheme.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions and shared practical business experiences, underscoring a collective commitment to inclusive economic growth and financial empowerment. Organisers said the level of participation and engagement contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
The IM-SCReP initiative is aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, deepening financial inclusion and supporting sustainable economic development at the community level. It also reinforces the position of cooperatives as viable platforms for unlocking financial opportunities for MSMEs.
IMCOOPS expressed appreciation to its partners and participants for their support and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperative development and enterprise growth in Nigeria.
