The Executive Director of El-Amin International School, Dr. Mohammed Babangida, has delighted teachers and staff of the institution in Minna with surprise cash gifts on their resumption of work.

The gesture took place during a Welcome-Back/Happy Resumption interactive session with staff of the school, where Dr. Babangida—son of Nigeria’s former President and Executive Director of El-Amin International Primary and Secondary Boarding and Day Schools—emphasised the importance of service-oriented leadership.

In an unexpected move, Dr. Babangida presented cash gifts in neatly prepared white envelopes to 130 members of staff across the primary and secondary sections. Beneficiaries included both academic and non-academic personnel. The cash gifts were valued at amounts exceeding the cost of a 50-kilogram bag of rice.

Many staff members described the gesture as timely and deeply thoughtful, noting that it went beyond financial assistance to convey appreciation, empathy, and a sense of shared responsibility.

The presentation was marked by an atmosphere of joy and gratitude, as staff expressed renewed morale and enthusiasm. Several recipients said the gesture would remain memorable for its impact and sincerity.

Beyond its material value, the initiative reflected Dr. Babangida’s people-centred leadership approach. As Executive Director of El-Amin International Schools and Pro-Chancellor of El-Amin University, he is widely recognised for combining vision with compassion in his leadership style.

The gesture has further strengthened the relationship between management and staff, reinforcing El-Amin’s image not only as an institution of academic excellence but also as a community founded on care, respect, and shared growth.
