As Niger State marks its 50th anniversary, the government and people of the state have been urged to strengthen cooperation and collective support to ensure the success of the New Niger Agenda.
The Director-General of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in Niger State, Dr. Ambassador Ahmed Nma, popularly known as Bulaman Minna, made the call in a congratulatory message to commemorate the golden jubilee of the state’s creation.
Reflecting on the journey of the state over the past five decades, Dr. Nma noted that the anniversary is worthy of celebration considering the achievements recorded by successive administrations and the ongoing reforms aimed at transforming the state.
He commended the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, describing his administration as distinct due to its strong commitment to agricultural revival, rural development, improved connectivity, and policies designed to enhance the living standards of citizens under the New Niger Agenda.
According to Bulaman Minna, the courage and determination demonstrated by the current administration in promoting peace and development will remain part of the state’s enduring history, especially as Niger State celebrates 50 years of existence.
He explained that RAAMP would continue implementing strategic projects aligned with the Federal Government’s development framework, including the construction of rural roads, provision of potable water, and advancement of agricultural initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth.
Highlighting past achievements, he said Niger State has made remarkable progress in governance, agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructure through the effective utilization of its human and natural resources.
Bulaman Minna further praised Governor Bago’s perseverance in driving reforms through the New Niger Agenda, which prioritizes agricultural transformation, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance as pillars of sustainable prosperity.
He reaffirmed the commitment of his office to continue supporting both the state and federal governments in advancing economic development and improving the welfare of citizens.
“There can be no meaningful progress without unity, patriotism, and collective responsibility,” he stated, urging residents to continue supporting government policies aimed at moving the state forward.
He also expressed appreciation to the people of Niger State for their consistent support for government initiatives, calling on them to renew their spirit of tolerance, cooperation, and patriotism, stressing that the vision of building a greater New Niger requires the participation of all stakeholders.
Dr. Nma expressed confidence that the Bago administration’s determination to provide purposeful leadership would guarantee a prosperous future for present and future generations, anchored on unity and peaceful coexistence.
He congratulated the government and people of Niger State on the historic milestone and expressed optimism that the next fifty years would bring greater opportunities, development, and hope under the New Niger Agenda.
