There was panic on Monday morning after a fire outbreak engulfed part of the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja.
The fire reportedly affected a section housing the office of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Eyewitnesses said the incident caused confusion within the secretariat premises as workers and visitors hurried out of the building for safety.
The situation also forced a diversion of vehicular movement around the Court of Appeal Complex area as emergency responders moved in to contain the blaze.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire had not been determined, while officials were working to bring the situation under control.
