A political support group, Lado for Bago White Cap Continuity Movement 2027 and Beyond, has been officially unveiled, drawing a large crowd of supporters in what organisers described as a significant step toward consolidating political continuity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Saturday, witnessed a high turnout, with attendees expressing support for the initiative and its objectives. Organisers said the event reflected growing grassroots mobilisation and unity among supporters of both Hon. Lado Suleja and the state’s leadership under Governor Umaru Bago, popularly referred to as the “Farmer Governor.”
According to a statement signed by the Director-General of Digital Media and Communication, Abdulkarim Muhammad Awwal, the movement is aimed at strengthening political alignment and sustaining ongoing development efforts in the state.
He noted that the initiative symbolises loyalty and continuity, adding that it seeks to deepen the relationship between Hon. Suleja and Governor Bago’s administration while promoting shared goals of progress and transformation.
Observers at the event pointed to the large turnout and enthusiastic participation as an indication of strong political support, although no official figures were provided.
