Abbas Tajuddeen has formally declared his intention to seek reelection to the House of Representatives to continue representing Zaria Federal Constituency.
Speaking before supporters and stakeholders from the constituency, the Speaker expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), traditional rulers, religious leaders, youths, women, and supporters across Zaria and Sabon Gari for their continued trust and support.
Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen stated that his decision to seek another mandate was based on what he described as visible achievements and practical representation rather than mere promises.
He highlighted his contributions in the areas of legislation, education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic support for constituents.
According to him, thousands of farmers, students, traders, and small business owners have benefited from empowerment programmes, scholarships, financial assistance, and development projects facilitated during his tenure.
The Speaker also cited major projects executed under his representation, including the establishment of the Education City project, the commissioning of a 100-bed Specialist Hospital, and several road and rural development projects across communities within the constituency.
Speaking on his role as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen said the House has pursued reforms aimed at strengthening security, improving education, promoting economic growth, and enhancing public accountability, while also encouraging greater citizen participation in governance.
He noted that Zaria Federal Constituency requires continuity, experienced leadership, and stronger representation to sustain ongoing development and attract more opportunities for the people.
The Speaker called on the people of the constituency to continue supporting his vision for progress, unity, and development, assuring them of his commitment to serving with dedication, focus, and impactful representation.
He concluded by formally declaring his reelection bid and prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity for Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State, and Nigeria.
