The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has announced Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

The decision was reached during an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting convened in the state, presided over by the party leader and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Party sources said the meeting brought together key stakeholders across the state, who unanimously endorsed Gwamna’s candidacy as part of efforts to maintain unity and strengthen the party’s chances ahead of the forthcoming polls.

In addition to the governorship ticket, the stakeholders also ratified consensus candidates for the state’s three senatorial districts, six House of Representatives seats, and all 24 State House of Assembly constituencies.

The move signals a strategic alignment within the APC in Gombe, aimed at presenting a united front in the 2027 elections.
