The APC Support Groups Council – North Central has congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious in the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial and House of Representatives primary elections across Niger, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Council, under the leadership of its Deputy Director General, Alhaji Lameen Aliyu, described the successful conduct of the primaries as a strong indication of the growing strength, internal democracy, and organizational capacity of the ruling party.
In a statement issued after the exercise, the Council commended the APC leadership, electoral committees, stakeholders, delegates, security agencies, and party faithful for their collective efforts in ensuring peaceful, transparent, credible, and acceptable primary elections across the affected states.
According to the Council, the successful primaries have further reinforced the APC’s democratic credentials and positioned the party strongly for greater victories in the 2027 general elections.
The Council congratulated all successful candidates and urged them to remain magnanimous in victory by embracing inclusiveness, reconciliation, and unity among party members and supporters ahead of the general elections.
It stressed that sustaining peace and cohesion within the party remains critical to consolidating the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The APC Support Groups Council also appealed to aspirants who did not emerge victorious to remain calm, loyal, and committed to the ideals and progress of the party, emphasizing that politics remains a continuous journey of service and sacrifice.
The Council advised aggrieved aspirants and their supporters to demonstrate sportsmanship and avoid actions capable of undermining the unity, peace, and electoral prospects of the APC.
“As a progressive political family, the APC remains bigger and more important than individual ambitions,” the statement noted, adding that collective interest and party stability must always take precedence.
The Council further expressed confidence that the remaining primary elections across the country would be conducted in line with the principles of fairness, justice, transparency, and internal democracy.
It also commended the national and state leadership of the APC for sustaining orderliness, credibility, and peace within the party throughout the ongoing electoral process.
