The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna, has formally accepted his endorsement for the 2027 election, pledging to prioritise unity, continuity, and inclusive development.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Gwamna expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the confidence reposed in him, describing the endorsement as both an honour and a call to greater service.

He said the development marks a significant moment for the state, stressing that his ambition is rooted in collective progress rather than personal interest.
“This moment is not about an individual; it is about continuity of purpose and the collective aspiration to place Gombe first,” he stated.

Gwamna pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration, noting that his vision is anchored on sustaining existing gains while introducing innovative policies to drive long-term development and improve citizens’ welfare.

He also extended an olive branch to other aspirants within the party, acknowledging their contributions and expressing readiness to work with them in the spirit of unity and shared responsibility.

“Our ambitions are united by a common purpose—to see a better, safer, and more prosperous Gombe,” he said.

The APC candidate further assured traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil servants, women, and youths that their voices would remain central to governance, promising leadership driven by openness, inclusion, and accountability.
He emphasised that peace, transparency, and people-oriented governance would remain key pillars of his agenda.

Calling on supporters to remain calm and avoid divisive actions, Gwamna urged party members to uphold discipline and unity as the political process unfolds.
“This endorsement is not a conclusion; it is the beginning of a broader responsibility—to unite, to listen, and to deliver,” he added.

Gwamna concluded by reaffirming his commitment to earning the trust of the people of Gombe State and delivering on their expectations if elected in 2027.
