Team New Nigeria (TNN), a national rejuvenation movement, has announced plans to launch a comprehensive biography of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai.

The 400-page book, titled "Nasir El-Rufai: The Burden of a Patriot," is described as an in-depth examination of El-Rufai’s life, leadership journey, and political legacy. The publication carries the subtitle "A Searing Analysis of Principles, Power and the Staggering Price of Reform," reflecting its focus on the former governor’s governance philosophy and reform-driven agenda.

According to the author, Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai, the book was inspired by the need to preserve history and provide a balanced account of the sacrifices and challenges associated with national reform efforts.

Speaking on the motivation behind the project, Farakwai said the work seeks to document what he described as the enduring legacy of a patriot whose contributions to public service continue to shape national conversations on governance and development.

To coordinate the launch, a high-powered planning committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Dawud Okanlawon, while Dr. Abdulkareem Karasuwa will serve as Secretary.

The committee comprises prominent academics, legal practitioners, and political figures, including Prof. Iheanacho Agboti, Prof. Samuel Igwe, Dr. Eribo Andrew, Prof. Waziri Garba Dahiru, Dr. Mohammed Adah Shaibu, Prince Lanre Rufai, Mallam Hayatudeen Makarfi, Cham Faliya Sharon, and Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, among others.

Commenting on the significance of the publication, Okanlawon described the book as a unique contribution to Nigeria’s political literature, noting that it offers perspectives and insights that are rarely captured in conventional accounts of public service and leadership.

The unveiling is expected to attract senior government officials, opposition leaders, policymakers, scholars, and other key stakeholders from across Nigeria's political landscape, making it one of the most anticipated political and literary events of the year.

The book is expected to contribute to ongoing discussions about leadership, governance reforms, and the complexities of public service in Nigeria.
