Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has held a special session with All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates and aspirants who were unsuccessful in the party's primary elections conducted across the state.
The meeting, held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Minna, was convened to strengthen unity among party members and strategize on ensuring victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the gathering, the Farmer Governor urged all candidates and aspirants to remain committed to the collective vision of the APC, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the New Niger Agenda of the state government.
Farmer Umaru Bago also called on party faithful to remain loyal, united, and focused on achieving the party's common goals. He stressed that every APC member has a responsibility to work towards the party's success and sustain the delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Niger State.
The forum provided an opportunity for party members to deliberate on key issues affecting the APC in the state and to offer suggestions and recommendations aimed at strengthening the party ahead of future elections.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba; APC candidates and aspirants from across the state; the APC North Central Zonal Vice Chairman, Mu'azu Bawa Rijau; the APC State Chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi; and other key party stakeholders.
