The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FCNA, FNIM, FNIIS, on Sunday met with stakeholders from Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State to facilitate the formal handover and allocation of the completed Muregi–Ketso Resettlement Housing Scheme.
The housing project was executed by the Commission to relocate communities most vulnerable to flooding from flood-prone areas to safer locations, underscoring N-HYPPADEC's commitment to safeguarding lives and improving the welfare of affected communities.
Those who attended the engagement included the Executive Chairman of Mokwa Local Government Area, Hon. Jibril Abdullahi Muregi; representatives of the traditional institution; the Director of Operations at N-HYPPADEC, Engr. Iliyasu Abdullahi Wara; and other members of the Commission's management team.
