The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Muhammad, has reaffirmed the Legislature's commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that promote sustainable development and improve the welfare of the people of Niger State.
The Speaker made the pledge while delivering a goodwill message at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new, modern National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Paiko on Monday.
Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Muhammad described the project as a landmark investment in youth development, noting that the establishment of a modern orientation camp would provide a conducive environment for the orientation, training, and skills acquisition of corps members serving in the state.
He commended the visionary leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for initiating the project, describing it as another bold step towards transforming Niger State through strategic investments in infrastructure and human capital development.
The Speaker reaffirmed the Legislature's unwavering commitment to enacting laws, providing effective oversight, and supporting policies that will accelerate the state's socio-economic growth and overall development.
He further assured the Executive Arm of Government of the Assembly's continued cooperation in advancing programmes and projects that will positively impact the lives of the people of Niger State.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, members of the National Assembly, heads of security agencies, NYSC officials, community leaders, and other distinguished guests.
