President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with members of the National Communication Team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in what appears to be a move aimed at receiving feedback on public perception of his administration’s policies and programmes.
The meeting, held on Tuesday evening, was attended by members of the presidential media team and heads of government media agencies, led by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, Idris described the engagement as a routine interaction that provided an opportunity for the communication team to update the President on issues relating to public perception and citizens’ reactions to government policies.
According to the minister, President Tinubu also used the occasion to further explain the direction of his administration and its priorities in delivering on campaign promises and national development objectives.
