*APPROVES THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIMILAR MARKET IN AGAIE

The Executive Governor of Niger State has inaugurated the Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago Ultra Modern Market in Bida renamed after him.

The market which was formally called Etsu Musa Market was completely destroyed by a devastating inferno in 2018 before the Member Representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Musa Abdullahi facilitated its reconstruction.

Farmer Umaru Bago appreciated the Federal Legislator for the noble initiative to remodel the market with state-of -the--art facilities and described him as a courageous individual full of vision.

While reiterating his administration's determination to fulfilling promises made, approved the construction of a similar market in Agaie town, headquarters of Agaie Local Government Area.

He then pleaded with all those who have been allocated shops to make judicious use of them and advised that the management of the market be handed over to the Local Government Authority. 

Member Representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Musa Abdullahi in his remarks described it as a journey that began from a painful experience and culminated in a modern facility that will serve generations to come after overcoming the painful experience of losing livelihoods due to the inferno that destroyed the market in 2018.

The Federal Legislator was full of praises to the Farmer Governor for his remarkable leadership and commitment to the transformation of Niger State stressing that, the remodelled market is another reflection of his administration's vision to expand economic opportunities and provide infrastructure that directly impact the lives of the people.

Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the reconstructed market which is in line with best global practice.

He said, the market will further revive and boost the socio- economic status of Bida and urged those who were allocated shops to own the property and maintain it properly.

Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago Ultra modern market Bida has 12 blocks with 264 lock up shops, 80 open stalls, a banking hall, a Police Station, backup solar mini-grid, and security posts among other amenities.
