The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed Malam Muhammad Nami as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State for the 2027 general elections.
The development was announced in a press statement issued by the Muhammad Nami Media Directorate at the weekend in Minna, Niger State, following the publication of INEC’s list of approved candidates for the forthcoming elections.
According to the statement, INEC’s final list of governorship candidates for the February 6, 2027 election in Niger State includes Malam Muhammad Nami as the PDP candidate.
The statement described the development as confirmation of Nami’s candidacy, adding that it indicated that his candidature was not affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment involving INEC.
The media directorate consequently urged Nami’s supporters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) during INEC’s ongoing collection exercise to enable them to participate in the 2027 general elections.
It called on supporters to mobilise in support of the PDP candidate, expressing optimism that his emergence would usher in a new phase of progress and development in Niger State.
The statement concluded with a message of confidence in Nami’s ambition, expressing hope that he would make Niger State great again.
