The Blues are close to
securing a move for their main transfer target, as significant progress is made
with the Supercoppa winners
Chelsea have reached an
agreement with Juventus over the January transfer of Gonzalo Higuain, Goal
understands, with the Argentine's loan deal with AC Milan set to be cut short.
The deal will see the Blues
handed an option to buy the striker outright for £32.5 million (€36m) upon the
completion of a six-month loan, with a series of performance related bonuses
being paid to Juventus on the basis of goals scored and appearances.
Higuain and Chelsea boss
Maurizio Sarri have been pushing for a reunion since the Italian took the reins
at Stamford Bridge and it appears now that the pair will finally get their wish
after talks between the Premier League side and the Serie A champions.
