The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Nuhu Bamali, has ordered the dismissal of a palace guard, Sama’ila Abubakar Rimin Tsiwa, who allegedly led others to rape a lady in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The dismissed palace guard was alleged to have enticed the lady who came to seek assistance from the emir through him, as she was readying for a wedding.
Our source reported that instead of him taking the lady to the emir, he took her to a location with other friends, where they gang-raped her.
According to a statement from the Media and Publicity Office of the emir, which was signed by one Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, the council has directed the police to speed up an investigation and ensure the prosecution of the culprits.
The statement said, “The incident happened when the guard lured the lady, who was preparing for a wedding, and came to seek assistance from the Emir through him.
“Instead of Rimin Tsiwa taking the lady to the emir, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, the suspect lured her to a location where he and his friends gang-raped her.”
The council promised to follow up on the case until Justice prevails.
