A branch of Madrasatul Mu'az Bin Jabal Littahfizil Qur'an, a Qur'anic school at Hayin Shehu, Zangon Shanu, Samaru Zaria in Sabon Gari local government area of Kaduna State, held a maiden Qur'anic studies graduation on 30th April 2023 equivalent to 10th Shawwal 1444 of the Islamic Calendar.
DAILY STRUGGLE reported that the Qur'anic graduation was attended by a representative of the Emir of Zazzau, politicians and many clerics within and outside the state. Sheikh Salisu Abubakar, the Chief Imam of the ITN Mosque in Zaria was the Chairman of the occasion.
For the first time in the history of the school, they successfully graduated 6 students that memorized the entire Holy Qur'an among the 33 students that graduated.
The management of the school while delivering its speech stated that the successes recorded in the school were a result of some good Samaritans among which are Professor Hamza Mani, Dr. Yaaqub A.A Wakili and Malam Ridwan Muhammad.
Scholars at the event called on the graduates to make use of the knowledge they acquired and serve as the ambassadors of the school by extension to Islam.
The management of the school honoured and awarded individuals that are working tirelessly in promoting the teaching of Islam among which are Sheikh Abba Dewu and Colonel Abdulkareem Usman.
The management commended the efforts of a women’s group called ‘Intellectual Woman’ for their contribution towards the school. “Your efforts are what made the expansion of the school to many branches”, they stressed.
During the event, certificates were given to the students as evidence of graduation.
The Chairman of the school, Malam Abba Dewu, thanked the participants and prayed for everyone to reach their bases safely.
