Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir has received the leadership of the National Examination Council (NECO) at the Government House.
The leader of the delegation and registrar of ( NECO) Prof. Ibrahim Dan Tani Wushishi expressed their profound gratitude to the Governor for granting them this great opportunity considering his tight schedules.
He said the journey began from Niger State (Minna) down to Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Jigawa, and now in Bauchi and that they will proceed to other states across the country.
Prof. Ibrahim said they are here in Bauchi to crosscheck the manner and nature in which the National Examination is being carried out by their staff and other ad-hoc staff that we're employed to assist them for the 2023 National Examination so that the progress and problems probably that we're encountered are being channelled properly.
"With the findings and outcome so far, we can say there has been massive progress compared to some years back especially in the rural areas".
Ibrahim further said they are very delighted with the commendation being given by the Parents, Teachers, and students for the support being received from the Governor of Bauchi.
"We want to appreciate you, Sir, for your support and for the vision you have for the state in terms of education, infrastructures, and empowerment among others which will go a long way in transforming the state and adding values to the lives of students for the better tomorrow and nation building".
In his response Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed reiterated his administration's commitment to introducing policies that will simplify learning and teaching in public schools across the state, saying education remains his top priority.
He further, commended NECO for the visit and for their support of his administration's commitment to reviving education, saying he will not hesitate to implement more developmental policies including the establishment of learning centres, construction of additional classroom blocks, and special scholarships for hardworking students.
