As part of the government’s efforts in fulfilling her responsibilities and ensuring development across the board towards the revitalization of the education sector, for the purpose of sustainable improved teaching and learning across Jigawa state.

Governor Umar A.Namadi has presented letters of appointment to over one thousand graduates who were to serve in public schools as teachers under the J-Teach program

J-Teach program as the name implies it’s an initiative of the administration of Governor Umar Namadi which was specifically designed to provide graduates with temporary employment before subsequent confirmation as permanent and pensionable teachers as stipulated in the policy document, rules, and regulations of teaching schemes.

In a move to bridge the huge gap or deficit of teachers in government schools across Jigawa state, while presenting the letters of engagement at Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Hall in Dutse, the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi tasked the newly recruited J-Tech beneficiaries to work hard in the interest of promoting discipline, professionalism, honesty and integrity in the teaching profession and said that their permanent appointment should be strictly based on their absolute performance, commitment and dedication to the discipline.

The Governor, however, said the recruitment of temporary teachers is part of his administration mechanisms, policies and direction to improve the standard of education across Jigawa state and the governor added that J-Teach will serve as a breeding ground for the teachers and will be absorbed into permanent and pensionable benefits based on commitment and honesty.

In another development, the statement reads "Your recruitment is done based on merit and urgent needs,l can boldly say none of my members of state executive council will point out that this is his sister or brother” The governor mentioned.

Governor Namadi, equally noted that the J-Teach teachers will be evaluated and those who have performed well will be given permanent and pensionable appointments.

The Governor pointed out that all the beneficiaries will be posted to nearby secondary schools in their various communities, urging them to be fair and dedicated.

The Governor also concluded by saying, that more appointments are underway in the education sector and other public sectors with the view of creating more job opportunities, sustainable wealth creation, social security and productivity among others.
