The quest of administration of malam Umar Namadi to make the state and local government contributory pension scheme more workable and sustainable,the Jigawa state government has approved the loan of N2 billion Naira on this regard
The Jigawa state executive council equally approved the sum of N2.25 billion for the state pilgrims Board in order to secure 500 hajj slots from the National Hajj commission of Nigeria(NAHCON) to avoid unnecessary further delay while conducting the exercise for this year 2024 National Hajj exercise
This development was disclosed to the journalists in Dutse shortly after the state executive council meeting by Hon Commissioner of environment,Dr Nasir Ibrahim Kazaure
Dr Kazaure equally pointed out that the loan were aimed at supporting the state pension board to enable her to settle the last year outstanding benefits of retirees
Meanwhile the council equally approved the sum of N1.302 billion loan and grant for the state”Rice Millionaire Project”targeting 1,100 youths across the 11 federal constituencies to produce foundation rice seeds.
