The Chairman, New Niger
Development Project (NNDP), Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar-Bida has assured that Niger
Government under Gov. Mohammed Umaru-Bago led administration will complete the
construction of 82km Minna-Katayeregi-Bida road
in 24 months.
According to
Abubakar-Bida, this is in order to boost the socio-economic activities of the
people of the area.
The Chairman who is
also the Sarkin Dawaki Nupe made this known in an interview with News Agency of
Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Minna.
He said that Gov. Umar
Bago of the state has performed the ground breaking for the construction of the
road on May/ 9/2024.
Abubakar-Bida said that
the road, if completed, would also boost the state’s Internally Generated
Revenue (IGR) and improve on the standard of living of the people.
“His names will be
written in gold,” he said.
The Chairman, New Niger
Development Project appreciated Gov. Bago for his developmental efforts in the
state and called for its sustenance.
He called on the people
of the state to continue to pray and support Bago’s administration to succeed
in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
