*Advised Governor Fintiri on Security

*Strength of Character, Vision, and Dedication Lead to Success - Fintiri

By Muh'd Shafi'u Saleh

The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State for investing significantly in the state's development and advised the governor to focus on security.

Obasanjo gave the advice during the inauguration ceremony of the underground flyover and the celebration of Governor Fintiri's five years in office in Yola.

The former president, describing the day as important and memorable, thanked Governor Fintiri for inviting him to launch this modern project. He stated, "Despite the criticisms from conservatives, democracy continues to thrive in Nigeria. With such achievements in Adamawa, democracy will continue to grow stronger."

"People may say that we have not achieved anything, but we have not deviated from our path, and we will not deviate. Democracy cannot be stopped in Nigeria," Obasanjo added.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri addressed those who doubted the project's feasibility, saying, "When we celebrated the inauguration, skeptics were confused and doubted that it could be done."

"Someone told me that I dug a hole in the middle of the city without knowing how to fill it. To the glory of God today, not only was it done, but it was done well and on time. This is perhaps the first of its kind and the fastest completed project in our area."

"For the skeptics who doubted the project's completion, I invite you to witness what only vision, courage, and dedication can achieve. This significant project in the heart of Yola proves that it can be done."

"When it was announced that the project was progressing, cynics changed their message to say it was not a priority because the traffic situation in Yola was not as bad as claimed."

"I have a question; what is the priority? If not now, then when? If we do not do it, then who will? Addressing traffic congestion is crucial for our future."

"We should not wait until the population increases. The work now is cheaper and easier. Since it is inevitable, we must act now. Character, vision, and dedication are essential."

"This is part of the work we promised during our campaign to renew Adamawa's cities. We have achieved much and are on the verge of more. We aim to continue until all our major cities have a new look, benefiting the public and attracting investors."
