Astrologers have shared their forecasts for the new Islamic year, 1446, with insights provided by Sheikh Mahajjadina Sani Kano, an esteemed Islamic cleric and Chairman of the Association of African Astrologers.

In a recent interview with journalists in Abuja, Sheikh Mahajjadina offered a glimpse into what Nigerians might expect in the coming year.

According to Sheikh Mahajjadina, 1446 will be a year marked by a resurgence of resistance against oppression. Nigerians are anticipated to stand strong and assert their rights. The Sheikh also highlighted that workers' aspirations will likely be fulfilled, noting, “Those seeking political appointments or promotions in their workplaces will achieve their goals.”

However, the cleric urged Nigerians to exercise vigilance concerning their assets. He warned of a potential devaluation of the Nigerian currency, which could complicate the replacement of lost items. “It is prudent for everyone to safeguard their wealth and possessions for two reasons: firstly, the value of money may depreciate, and secondly, replacing lost items could become challenging,” he advised.

Furthermore, Sheikh Mahajjadina counseled married couples to practice patience to ensure the stability of their marriages. He predicted an increase in disagreements between spouses and partners due to the prevailing national conditions, which might lead to more separations. “Patience and understanding will be crucial in maintaining marital harmony,” he emphasized.

Despite the challenges, Sheikh Mahajjadina offered a hopeful perspective. “There will be places where people will find joy,” he assured.

He also addressed potential issues the country might face, including a rise in various illnesses such as headaches and abdominal pains. Additionally, he cautioned against financial imprudence, noting that broken promises regarding money could become more frequent. “Avoid taking on large loans or extending credit beyond your means. Provide only what you can afford as help or gifts,” he advised.

The cleric also predicted an increase in family disputes. Yet, he remained optimistic, noting, “There will be significant construction activities, and there will be areas where people will find happiness.”

Sheikh Mahajjadina concluded with a reflection on social struggles, saying that while the poor will strive for freedom and seek better opportunities, achieving these goals may be difficult due to the persistent efforts of oppressors to retain their power.
