As Muslims around the world celebrate the commencement of the new Islamic year 1448 AH, projections have emerged suggesting that, despite anticipated global economic challenges, Nigeria may witness notable economic improvement and increased prosperity among the general populace.
This projection was made by Sheikh Muhajjadina Sani Kano Al-Falaki, who also identifies himself as the leader of astrologers in Africa, during a telephone interview with our correspondent from Makkah.
According to reports, at the beginning of each Islamic new year, Sheikh Muhajjadina presents forecasts based on his research regarding likely developments for the year ahead. He stated that the world may experience heightened geopolitical tensions, economic instability, and increased disagreements among nations. However, he added that certain countries are likely to record significant economic growth despite these challenges.
He further projected the emergence of new wealthy individuals during the year, while noting that powerful nations may attempt to exert dominance over others, though such efforts may not fully materialise. He also alluded to the possibility of the passing of some influential figures in various countries, as well as the emergence of new diseases in certain regions, adding that specific details could not be disclosed for “certain reasons.”
He stated: “Alhamdulillah, Islam will continue to gain wider acceptance and experience remarkable progress this year. Likewise, individuals facing hardship and distress will, by the grace of Allah, find relief wherever they may be in the world.”
He further added, “The dignity and social standing of citizens may experience some improvement this year. Similarly, many individuals seeking career advancement, including promotions, are likely to achieve their objectives.”
He cautioned members of the public to exercise prudence in financial matters, noting that the value of money may fluctuate at certain points, and that recovering lost wealth could prove difficult.
He also observed that there may be an increase in misunderstandings among couples and lovers, potentially resulting in a rise in marital breakdowns. He therefore urged individuals to cultivate patience, tolerance, and mutual understanding in their relationships.
He added that, despite prevailing challenges, there would still be moments and places of joy and relief, by the will of Allah.
Sheikh Muhajjadina further stated that cases of headaches, abdominal pain, and stomach-related illnesses may become more prevalent within the population during the year.
He also warned of an increase in broken commitments and issues related to debts and loans, advising the public to avoid granting large sums as credit, and instead to extend assistance within their capacity as charitable support.
Regarding the 2027 general elections, he stated that the process is expected to be largely peaceful, without major nationwide violence, although some tensions may arise during campaign activities. He noted that while some political actors may suffer setbacks, others will record notable successes.
He urged security agencies and political stakeholders to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, professionalism, and integrity to mitigate potential unrest. He also cautioned that there may be an increase in cases of kidnapping involving senior government officials and political figures.
He further observed that some African countries may experience episodes of political instability, including coups, similar to trends witnessed in the preceding year.
On the economic outlook, he explained that his research suggests an initial period of economic strain, followed by eventual recovery and improved prosperity. Prices of goods are expected to ease over time, and many citizens may experience improved living standards. While some individuals may accumulate wealth, others may experience financial decline during the same period.
He therefore advised leaders to demonstrate compassion and responsiveness toward the needs of the populace, warning that prolonged hardship among citizens could trigger social unrest if not properly managed.
In conclusion, he called on members of the public to seek informed analysis from experts in astrology to better understand unfolding events and avoid circumstances that may negatively affect their personal and collective well-being.
