The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that the first flight for the airlift of state pilgrims back to Niger State will be on Sunday, July 7, 2024, following the successful completion of the 2024 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The flight is expected to take off from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah to Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, stated that the first flight, operated by FLYNAS Airlines, will carry 425 pilgrims from Mashegu and part of Mariga. Special consideration will be given to some pilgrims who are facing health challenges and are undergoing medical treatments.
He noted that the weighing of luggage for the first set of pilgrims began on Friday, July 5, ahead of the Sunday airlift.
He reiterated that the itinerary for the subsequent flights would be communicated in due course to ensure a smooth and efficient journey for all pilgrims returning from the exercise.
The Executive Secretary emphasized that the Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board is working tirelessly to ensure a seamless and well-organized travel plan that prioritizes the safety, comfort, and convenience of all pilgrims from the state.
