President Bola Tinubu has received the news of the tragic collapse of a school building, which resulted in multiple deaths and many surviving victims in Jos, Plateau State, with profound grief.
Tinubu, in a statement by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale described the unfortunate incident as a huge loss to the nation, as well as a devastating development – too excruciating to imagine.
The President condoled with the bereaved families, families of all the victims, and the people and Government of Plateau State.
He praised the emergency responders, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), security agencies, and all citizens who participated in the search, rescue, and recovery operations.
The president assured the people of Plateau State of his unwavering support during this challenging period.
According to DAILY STRUGGLE, tragic loss of life occurred on Friday at St. Academy School in Busa Buji, Jos North local government area of Plateau State, where a two-storey building collapsed during students' promotional examinations, claiming lives of both students and staff.
