The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, today donated 15 trailer loads of fertilizer to the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement signed by Yusuf Idris Gusau, APC Publicity Secretary for Zamfara State, it was noted that the Minister's donation, which was handed over to the Party Secretary by the Chairman of the APC's state chapter, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, is intended for distribution to beneficiaries across the state. This initiative is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's agricultural transformation program.

Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani remarked that the Minister's gesture will enhance agricultural output, as well as economic growth and development in the state.

He explained that part of the fertilizer was allocated to the Minister by the federal government, and that he purchased additional trucks to complement the federal government’s agricultural initiatives, aiming to ensure a bumper harvest in the coming wet farming season.

He further stated that all 15 trailers will be distributed free of charge to identified beneficiaries, with the sole aim of supporting farmers.

Danfulani also expressed gratitude to the Minister, who also serves as the leader of the party in the state, for his generosity.

He recalled that during Matawalle’s tenure as governor, he maintained close ties with all party members, which helped sustain unity among party leaders and supporters.

The Chairman assured that the fertilizer would reach members of the party across all 147 wards in the 14 local government areas of the state, and urged other leaders to emulate such goodwill toward the people of Zamfara.

Beneficiaries of the donation will include members of the Party State Working Committee, local government executives, some ward executives, party elders, youths, and other critical stakeholders across the state.

The Chairman also commended party members in the state for their patience and support, which he said has contributed to the increasing popularity and acceptance of the party among the people.
