The funeral of Shaikh Adamu Tsoho Ahmad Jos, the representative of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in Jos under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, was held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Shaikh Adamu Ahmad Jos passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 (24th Muharram, 1446) after a short illness. The funeral took place at 2:00 PM at the Ali Kazaure Eid Mosque in Jos.
A large number of people from various parts of the country gathered at his residence in Anguwar Rogo, Jos, to pay their respects and bid farewell to the deceased. The funeral prayer was led by Shaikh Abdulhamid Bello on behalf of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.
The funeral was attended by many representatives of the Islamic Movement from cities including Abuja, Gombe, Zaria, Katsina, Kaduna, Potiskum, Bauchi, Keffi, and Gumel. Numerous scholars and other dignitaries were also present.
Representatives from the office of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky attended the funeral as well. After the prayer, Shaikh Adamu's body was escorted to the Naraguta Cemetery in Jos, where he was laid to rest next to the graves of his parents.
Attendees expressed deep grief and sorrow, describing his death as a significant loss that will be difficult to overcome.
