Former Zamfara State Governor, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari, has praised the Nigerian Army for its ongoing operations against banditry and other criminal activities in the North-West region.

Addressing a large crowd that welcomed him to Talata Mafara, his hometown, Sen. Yari noted that the military operation had begun yielding significant results. He commended the strategies and commitment displayed by the Nigerian Army, expressing confidence that the issue of banditry would soon be a thing of the past.

Yari, a senator representing Zamfara West, emphasized that the fight against banditry aligns with President Bola Tinubu's agenda to address the region's security challenges.

"Let's continue praying for our gallant soldiers to remain courageous as they work to reduce the scale and severity of the security challenges that have plagued our beloved state, the region, and the entire country," he said.

He further stated that the military's success in combating bandits would lead to the revival of the region's economy and help restore peace, unity, and stability.

"No leader can sleep soundly while his people are in crisis. The President is deeply concerned about the security challenges we face," Yari added.

He urged the people of Zamfara State to support the policies of the federal government and offer prayers for the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

"As followers of different religions in this country, we must understand that no administration can succeed without the support of prayers. Therefore, your prayers for divine intervention are crucial for our leaders to remain focused and determined in making both our state and nation better places for legitimate living," Sen. Yari explained.

He also called for unwavering support and cooperation to help President Tinubu's administration overcome security challenges and create a secure environment for farming and commercial activities, which would accelerate the recovery of the nation's economy.
