The Ministry of Nomadic Affairs is set to officially begin the Nomadic Baseline Data Capturing Exercise across 14 Local Government Areas in Niger State. This follows the completion of sensitization tours and the training of supervisors and enumerators.
The exercise aims to identify and address the challenges faced by nomadic pastoralists, contributing to their well-being and supporting the development agenda of Niger State.
The Honourable Commissioner for the Ministry, Alhaji Umar Ahmed Sanda Rebe, has called on stakeholders to provide full cooperation to ensure the exercise achieves its goals in alignment with the "New Niger Agenda" championed by Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.
He also urged supervisors and enumerators to work diligently, maintain integrity, and build positive relationships with pastoralists during the fieldwork.
Supervisors and enumerators have already been deployed to their designated locations in the 14 local governments, prepared to begin the exercise aimed at achieving its outlined objectives.
