Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed gratitude to the people of Suleja Local Government Area for their unwavering support for his administration.

Governor Bago made the remarks at the open grounds of the Suleja Emir's Palace during the conclusion of his statewide project monitoring and inspection tour.

The governor explained that his visit aimed to inspect ongoing projects in Suleja and engage with residents to understand their needs better. He assured the people that the list of requests presented by the local government council would be reviewed and addressed promptly.

Highlighting Suleja's strategic proximity to Abuja, Governor Bago reiterated his administration’s commitment to executing impactful projects in the area. He revealed plans for the construction of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refilling station to support the operation of 100 CNG buses. These buses will provide subsidized transportation for workers and free services for students traveling between Suleja and Abuja.

The governor also commended Niger East Senator Mohammed Sani Musa for his significant contributions through constituency projects in Suleja. He disclosed that the senator plans to construct a modern stadium, renovate the Kwamba motor garage, establish a skills acquisition center, and sponsor 20 students from Suleja to study in Singapore.

Governor Bago further noted that federal and state lawmakers representing the area have pledged to collaborate with the state government by channeling their constituency project funds toward infrastructural development in Suleja.

In his remarks, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa urged traditional leaders in Suleja to refrain from political interference and allow politicians to handle political matters. He assured residents that Governor Bago remains committed to their welfare and urged them to remain patient as the administration delivers on its promises.

The Madakin Zazzau Suleja, Shuaibu Gani, Comrade Murtala Badaru, and Suleja Council Chairman Isyaku Bawa Na’ibi also praised the governor’s developmental strides in the area. They pledged their unwavering support for his administration and called for the timely completion of ongoing projects.

Earlier, Governor Bago visited the Emir of Zazzau Suleja, Mallam Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim, to receive royal blessings. The Emir expressed appreciation for the governor’s visit and assured him of the Emirate's continued support and wise counsel to foster development.
